A church for adults and children to enjoy together. It's primarily for people who don't belong to another form of Church already. It's all-age. It's fun. Its aim is to introduce Jesus, to give an opportunity to encounter Him and to grow closer to Him. It usually includes some creative time to explore the Biblical theme through getting messy; a celebration time which might involve story, prayer, song, games and similar; and a meal together. Its values are those of hospitality, creativity and celebration. It models and promotes good ways of growing as a family: a nuclear family, an extended family and a global and local Church family. Messy Church is resourced, supported and enabled by BRF (Bible Reading Fellowship) as one of its core ministry’s

Our Messy Church began in September 2015 and is held on the 3rd Saturday each month. We are very encouraged with the attendance and are getting to know lots of new families. We provide drinks and snacks throughout the morning and create a comfortable atmosphere with 3 activity stations based on a Bible theme. We usually have a mid-morning break and sing some lively songs - the parents are encouraged to join in with all the activities, it’s also an opportunity for them to get together with other families and share fellowship. We are fortunate to have a great team who work together well. We like to have time to sit and chat with the families and are building good relationships within the community. At the end of each session we come together and conclude with a quiet time usually an interactive story which pulls together the theme for that session. Our Messy Church is registered with the national team and we have access to lots of resources and ideas, this outreach is growing rapidly and is seen to be a valued contribution towards Church growth. Everyone is welcome to come along and join in or just have a chat and a coffee.
